Visual novel localization and publishing company Shiravune announced Thursday that it will be releasing Leaf’s anime“>white album: memories like snowfall Visual novel for PC via steam On August 4th.
The visual novel will offer English and Chinese localization. The release will be specifically from the 2010 edition of the game anime“>white album: Tsuzurareru Fuyu no Omoide.
In the game, players take on the role of Toya Fujii, a college student who is in a relationship with Yuki Morikawa, a demure girl who is also rapidly gaining popularity. While they try to make the relationship work, Yuki’s work schedule means she has less time to go to school and see Toya, causing them to slowly break up. Players can either try to maintain their relationship with Yuki, or pursue a relationship with other heroines: Rina Ogata, Yuki’s close friend and rival idol; Misaki Sawakura, a writer and high school friend of Toya and Yuki’s; Haruka Kawashima, an athletic girl turned inward after her brother’s death; Mana Mizuki, a rebellious high school girl who is tutored by Toya; Or Sayoko Kisaragi, a newly emerging solo idol.
Released Lev Original anime“>white album in 1998, and remains one of the company’s best-known and critically acclaimed games, it was praised at the time for its somber tone, soundtrack, older, more realized characters, and themes of infidelity. The 2010 remake added new art, voice acting (notably with Aya Hirano Like Yuki and Nana Mizuki as Reina), new songs, and the addition of Sayoko as the female lead. The game inspired a TV anime adaptation in 2009.
